Caviar & Bananas – George Street in Charleston, SC is seeking a friendly Key Hourly Manager to lead the café team, supervise barista operations, and ensure top-notch service during busy periods.

You will train staff, supervise shifts, handle cash deposits, prepare beverages and breakfast items, and maintain a welcoming environment while upholding food safety standards. Flexible weekend availability is required.

Qualifications

• Previous barista and food industry roles with customer service experience preferred (but not required).
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
• Positive attitude and strong work ethic.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality service.
• Ability to multitask and work in a very fast-paced high demand environment.
• Availability to work flexible shifts, including weekends and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Oversee all barista training and maintain consistency in daily operations.
• Run shifts alongside salary management properly and efficiently.
• Management of cash drawers and deposits.
• Prepare and serve coffee, espresso drinks, teas, specialty beverages, breakfast dishes and pastries.
• Provide exceptional customer service and create a welcoming environment.
• Take customer orders accurately and handle payments using POS systems.
• Maintain cleanliness of the café, including counters, equipment, and dining areas.
• Restock supplies and assist with inventory as needed.
• Collaborate with team members to ensure timely service during peak hours.
• Follow food safety and sanitation guidelines.
• Assist with catering or special event preparations as needed.
• Work efficiently during busy periods while maintaining quality standards.
