Job summary

Desert Mountain Club in Scottsdale, AZ is seeking a Café Server for Café Verde at the Sonoran clubhouse. You will deliver memorable guest experiences across breakfast, lunch, dinner, and carryout with a focus on wellness and fresh, all-natural meals.

Ideal candidates bring prior serving experience in high-end venues, a positive attitude, and strong teamwork. Shifts typically 6:30am–3:30pm; opportunities exist for advancement within the club's career ladder.

Qualifications

• Prior serving experience in a full-service restaurant is highly preferred.
• Experience at a high-end club or resort is preferred.
• Shifts include early mornings; ability to work days, evenings, weekends and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Greet members and guests warmly and professionally.
• Direct members through ordering and seating processes.
• Present menus and suggest dishes; assist in beverage selection and service.
• Enter all orders into the POS system accurately.
• Carry food from restaurant to tables and pool deck.
• Maintain clean service areas and professional appearance of clubhouse facilities.
• Proactively assist teammates and other servers as needed.

Desert Mountain Club offers a higher, flat-dollar wage structure for all hourly Food & Beverage positions, replacing the previous gratuity-based wage structure. Servers start at $23 per hour or more, depending on experience. This guaranteed year-round wage is based on hours worked and does not fluctuate based on business levels or seasonality. Team members also have opportunities to increase their pay and advance their careers through annual merit increases and our career ladder, with multiple levels within each position based on performance, skills, and knowledge (e.g., Server 1, Server 2, etc.).

In this role, you will be responsible for delivering a memorable guest experience by providing exceptional service for breakfast, lunch, dinner, and carryout in the café and at the pools. This includes maintaining a strong knowledge and understanding of menu items, executing service from greeting the guest to providing the check, all in a team setting.

The ideal candidate will be a team player with a great attitude and strong work ethic. Prior serving experience in a full-service restaurant is highly preferred. Prior high-end club or resort experience preferred.

Primary shifts are within the hours of (6:30am - 3:30pm), periodically may be required to work later dinner shifts for special events.

JOB DETAILS Responsibilities

• Exposed to extreme temperatures and inclement weather – Occasionally.
