From our humble beginnings as a mobile coffee truck on the streets of San Diego in 2013, Perky Beans Coffee has grown up and laid down roots in Leander, Texas. A DAY IN THE LIFE OF A CAFE PREP COOK / KITCHEN ASSISTANT

In this full- or part-time food service position, you are an integral part of our kitchen team! With efficiency and attention to detail, you complete a variety of important tasks, including measuring ingredients, washing and chopping vegetables, and cutting meats. Once you finish these tasks, you ensure all products are correctly labeled and stored to maintain freshness as well as to keep them organized and easily accessible. Always safety conscious, you ensure that all food and other items are stored properly in order to comply with nutrition and safety guidelines.

You maintain an orderly and sanitary prep area, ensuring only the freshest and safest food is served. A flexible team player, you jump right in to lend a helping hand whenever extra kitchen duties are assigned. The job can sometimes be fast-paced, but you enjoy the challenge! You get great satisfaction from the important role you play in the success of our restaurant!

QUALIFICATIONS FOR A CAFE PREP COOK / KITCHEN ASSISTANT

• 18+ years old
• Good work history
• Understanding of cooking methods and procedures
• Excellent knife-handling skills
• Ability to enthusiastically and thoroughly follow instructions
• Ability to remain calm in a fast-paced environment
• Ability to easily carry 40+ lbs
