Qualifications

  • Must have a High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • A minimum of 2 years of experience in kitchen preparation and cooking is required.
  • ServSafe Certificate must be up to date.

Job description

The Lead Café Attendant is responsible for overseeing communication with callers and visitors in a professional, friendly, and efficient manner. They must comply with nutrition and sanitation regulations and safety standards and must also maintain a positive and professional approach with coworkers and customers. They will follow all standard policies and procedures within their assigned department.

ESSENTIAL JOB RESULTS:

  • Assist in scheduling and confirming staff needs.
  • Assist management with keeping crew on task /breaks and lunches while also taking yours to ensure coverage.
  • Answer customer catering phone calls/leads and confirm orders for catering with customers.
  • Address customers and work with management to correct any mistakes by staff, issue correction /voids for workers after evaluation of reasons.
  • Keep recipe binder organized and complete, making sure all workers are following guidelines.
  • Assist management with Inventory and supplies needed by filling out reports and comparing invoices for correct billing.
  • Works directly with Management on training staff
  • Assist with the creative development of new sales products such as drink specials, and desserts.
  • Menu planning, Cash handling/ training, monitor health inspection readiness at all times.
  • Works with management on online correspondence planning /pertaining catering /VIP orders.
  • Keep up with Attendant responsibilities.
  • Responsible for opening/closing Café in managers absence
  • Other duties as assigned.

  • Knowledge of all company policies and procedures, e.g., safety

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
  • High School Diploma or equivalent,
  • A minimum of 2 years of experience in kitchen preparation and cooking
  • Some culinary school experience a plus
  • Must have up to date ServSafe Certificate

Pay Rate $18.50 an hour
