Job summary

Sam's West, Inc. in Annapolis, MD is seeking a Team Member to help with prepared food merchandise, uphold food safety standards, and educate other associates on tools and resources.

You will operate and sanitize equipment, assist customers, rotate stock, and contribute to a positive shopping experience while following policies and adapting to business needs.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• Food Safety Certification.
• Food Service Food Handler Certification (Food Safety).

Responsibilities

• Be a Team Member: maintains up-to-date knowledge of product specifications and educates associates on tools and resources.
• Be an Expert: prepares food per item specs, plans for seasonality, ensures food safety and sanitation, manages inventory and equipment.
• Be a Techie: uses handheld technology to drive sales and improve the shopping experience, supports production and ordering activities.
• Be an Owner: drives area performance, stocks and rotates merchandise, ensures quality and date control, assists members with purchases and issues.
• Be a Talent Ambassador: acts as a brand advocate, mentors others, and supports respectful teamwork.
• Complies with company policies and ethics, follows Open Door Policy, and contributes to consistent processes.
• Completes work by prioritizing tasks, coordinating with managers and colleagues, and adapting to change.
