Job summary

Job description

Schedule: Days, evenings, nights, weekends and holidays.

Main Function

• Responsible for the preparation, seasoning, garnishing of food for Café meals.
• This task is to be completed based on departmental recipes and procedures in accordance with Federal and State regulations.

Required Job Specific Competencies

• Demonstrates skill in the ability to prepare food & knowledge of proper safe food handling.
• Demonstrates the ability to work independently & exhibits flexibility in decision making & prioritizing assignments.
• Demonstrates the ability to develop and maintain collaborative working relationships with all nutrition associates.
• Actively guards the confidentiality of sensitive information including but not limited to the patients, staff and the health system.
• Demonstrates the knowledge and skills necessary to provide care appropriate to the age of the patient.

Qualifications

• Required: High School or Equivalent.
• Preferred: Associate's degree in food service related field.
• Required: six months food service experience.
• Preferred: 2 years' experience in healthcare.
• Preferred: Serve Safe certified.
• Pay Range: $18.25 - $21.00 per hour.
• Starting Pay: Based on Experience.
