Job summary

Northway Cafe in Muskegon is seeking a line/short order cook for nights and weekends. This part-time role offers potential growth to full-time for the right candidate. You will run fryers and grill, manage multiple orders simultaneously, and operate our POS system.

• Experience with fryers and grill is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Cook line/short order orders on fryer and grill.
• Operate POS system and take/fulfill orders.
• Assist with prep and maintain kitchen cleanliness.

We are looking for a line/short order cook who is also well diverse and able to use a point of sale system.

We have a full menu and those applying should be able to run fryers and use the grill while fulfilling multiple orders at a time and also be able to functionally use our point of sale system. Typical shifts run from 4 or 5pm to 11pm, Thursday through Saturday as late as 12:30am.

Northway Cafe is looking for teammates that are willing to buy into the systems in place but also lead when called upon. Typical shifts are split in half with cooking for half and waiting on customers the other half.

Some experience is appreciated although not necessary.
