Between sandwich artistry, cooking delicious bites, and preparing all kinds of food options for our guests, Line Cooks will find a fun and fulfilling experience every day at the Children’s Museum of Phoenix.Essential Duties and Responsibilities:Take daily inventory of produce and ordering to ensure proper item freshnessFollow food safety and FIFO protocolsSafely prepare and organize produce for Associates using sharp and/or hot equipmentPrepare meals both in advance and made-to-orderMeet Department Revenue GoalsOperate espresso machine, tea brewer, and milk frotherRefresh café dining room by wiping tables, sweeping floors, and removing wasteClean and disinfect front-of-house and back-of-house café equipmentCommunicate positively and professionally to co-workers at all levels of the organizationStay up to date on museum policies, exhibits, and eventsOther duties as assignedQualification/Requirements: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty. Fluency in Spanish and/or other languages desirable.Mathematical Skills: Literacy in numbers, ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts as well as basic mathematic skills (subtraction, multiplication, division).Computer Skills: To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of basic computer skills and kitchen display systems; becoming efficient in Square through training and usage to successfully meet departmental responsibilities.Physical Requirements:The physical demands described herein are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
