Job summary

Sam's Club is seeking a dedicated associate to support prepared foods operations in a fast-paced retail environment. The role covers food preparation, seasonality planning, equipment sanitization, and adherence to safety standards while leveraging digital tools to enhance member experience.

The candidate will collaborate with cross-functional teams, educate others on tools and processes, and ensure high-quality service, inventory control, and waste reduction in daily operations.

Qualifications

  • Food service experience in a retail or dining environment.
  • Food Handler Certification (Food Safety).
  • Must be 18 years of age or older.
  • Acknowledges completion of required trainings and assessments within a prescribed time period.

  • Be a Talent Ambassador: act as a brand advocate and support a respectful, team-oriented culture.
  • Comply with policies and use Open Door Policy in processes; communicate progress and seek improvements.
  • Complete tasks by following policies, data, and resources; collaborate with managers and partners.

  • Be an Expert: Prepares food according to item specifications; plans future production and mass productions; prepares for seasonality; adheres to food safety standards, sanitation guidelines, cold chain compliance, and inventory management; operates, maintains, and sanitizes equipment; demonstrates understanding of product and layout execution.
  • Be a Techie: Leverages digital tools to drive sales, improve shopping experience, and elevate associate engagement; uses handheld technology to make immediate business decisions related to production, merchandise ordering, club pick‑up orders, training, and product quality; adapts to new tools and encourages others to use them.
  • Be an Owner: Drives area performance; stocks and rotates merchandise; ensures quality and date‑control standards; eliminates waste; provides member service by acknowledging members, identifying needs, assisting with purchasing decisions, payment types, locating merchandise, and resolving member issues and concerns.
  • Be a Talent Ambassador: Acts as a brand advocate; develops, influences, and inspires others to work in a respectful, supportive, and team‑oriented style; understands roadblocks and assists in training.
  • Complies with company policies, procedures, and standards of ethics and integrity; implements related action plans and uses the Open Door Policy in business processes.

Compensation

The hourly wage range for this position is $17.00 to $25.00. The actual hourly rate will equal or exceed the required minimum wage applicable to the job location.

Additional compensation in the form of premiums may be paid in amounts ranging from $0.35 per hour to $3.00 per hour in specific circumstances. Premiums may be based on schedule, facility, season, or specific work performed. Multiple premiums may apply if applicable criteria are met.

  • Must be 18 years of age or older.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Food Service experience.
