Job summary

Manpower, Inc. is seeking a CAE Engineer in Foster City, CA to join the Vehicle Integration Attributes Department, supporting the Strength and Durability team.

The role focuses on analyzing strength and fatigue performance, developing structural solutions, and coordinating with cross-functional teams to ensure optimal vehicle performance. The ideal candidate holds a Master’s degree in mechanical, aerospace, or motorsport engineering, with hands-on experience in simulation, testing, and fatigue

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in mechanical, aerospace, or motorsport engineering.
• Proven experience delivering real-world structural performance using simulation and testing.
• Routine use of hand calculations for concept and detail studies.
• Experience with Implicit FE solvers: Optistruct, Nastran, Abaqus.
• Experience with fatigue calculations using SN/EN methods (Ncode or alternatives).

Responsibilities

• Analyze strength and fatigue performance of mechanical systems from component to full vehicle level under static and dynamic loading.
• Develop feasible structural solutions meeting real-world strength and durability requirements.
• Develop and improve working methods within the CAE team and across vehicle engineering disciplines.
• Report and communicate results effectively during cross-functional reviews and team meetings.
• Champion structural solutions that support Strength and Durability attribute performance, coordinating with other attributes for optimal overall vehicle performance.

As a CAE Engineer, you will be part of the Vehicle Integration Attributes Department supporting the Strength and Durability team. The ideal candidate will have strong analytical skills, a rigorous approach to engineering problems, and excellent communication abilities, which will align successfully in the organization.

Location: Foster City, CA

Pay Range: $70-$75/hour + Benefits
