Job summary

Akkodis is seeking a Crash Safety CAE Engineer to work in Raymond, Ohio. The CAE Crash Safety Engineer is responsible for developing, analyzing, and validating vehicle crashworthiness performance using advanced Computer-Aided Engineering (CAE) simulation tools.

This role supports vehicle safety development by conducting crash simulations, evaluating structural integrity, and ensuring compliance with global safety regulations and consumer ratings. ANSA and LS-DYNA experience is required.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related technical field.
  • ANSA pre-processing and model preparation (critical)
  • LS-DYNA crash simulation setup and execution (critical)
  • Meta-Post or equivalent post-processing tools
  • Linux-based CAE environments
  • Crashworthiness analysis and interpretation of simulation results

Responsibilities

  • Develop, maintain, and execute full-vehicle and subsystem crash simulation models.
  • Perform crashworthiness analyses for frontal, side-impact, rear-impact, roof crush, rollover, and pedestrian protection events.
  • Utilize finite element analysis (FEA) tools to predict structural performance and occupant safety outcomes.
  • Analyze crash test results and correlate simulation data with physical testing.
  • Identify design improvements to meet safety, durability, weight, and cost targets

Akkodis is seeking a Crash Safety CAE Engineer to work in Raymond, Ohio. The CAE Crash Safety Engineer is responsible for developing, analyzing, and validating vehicle crashworthiness performance using advanced Computer-Aided Engineering (CAE) simulation tools. This role supports vehicle safety development by conducting crash simulations, evaluating structural integrity, and ensuring compliance with global safety regulations and consumer ratings. ANSA and LS-DYNA experience is required.

This is a W2 contract position

Manufacturing Engineer Responsibilities:
  • Develop, maintain, and execute full-vehicle and subsystem crash simulation models.
  • Perform crashworthiness analyses for frontal, side-impact, rear-impact, roof crush, rollover, and pedestrian protection events.
  • Utilize finite element analysis (FEA) tools to predict structural performance and occupant safety outcomes.
  • Analyze crash test results and correlate simulation data with physical testing.
