Job summary

Largeton Group is seeking a CADWorx Piping Design Technician to independently develop detailed piping designs and models for Oil & Gas, Chemical, Pharmaceutical, and Semiconductor projects. You will interpret specifications, review P&IDs, and produce accurate layouts while collaborating with multi-discipline teams to ensure project alignment.

You will lead portions of the scope, ensure model consistency, and provide input on operability and design best practices.

Qualifications

• Experience using piping design software to develop detailed piping models.
• Ability to interpret piping specifications, materials, equipment interfaces, and layout fundamentals.
• Experience reviewing P&IDs and vendor drawings to produce accurate piping layouts.
• Collaborates with multi-discipline teams to ensure design quality and project alignment.
• Ability to lead portions of projects, ensuring model consistency and adherence to standards.
• Provides technical input on operability and best design practices.
• Supports estimating, change-management, and workshare execution in project delivery.
• Participates in QA/QC workflows and model health reviews.
• Maintains clear documentation for all design work and deliverables.
• Mentors junior designers and contributes to team improvements (preferred).

Responsibilities

• Utilize CADWorx to independently develop detailed piping designs and models for industrial projects.
• Interpret and apply piping specifications, materials, equipment interfaces, and layout fundamentals.
• Review P&IDs, vendor drawings, and engineering docs to produce accurate piping layouts and deliverables.
• Collaborate with multi-discipline teams to ensure design quality and project alignment.
• Lead or oversee portions of project scope, ensuring model consistency and adherence to standards.
• Provide technical input on operability, model quality, and design best practices.
• Support estimating, change-management, and workshare execution in project delivery.
• Participate in QA/QC workflows and model health reviews.
• Communicate effectively with team members and stakeholders; manage tasks independently.
• Maintain organization and documentation for all design work and deliverables.
• (Preferred) mentor junior designers and contribute to team leadership.
