Job summary

TheCorporate LLC is seeking a senior piping designer to develop, model, and maintain complex 3D piping layouts using CADWorx. You will read P&IDs, vendor drawings, and engineering docs to produce precise deliverables, while ensuring compliance with specs and interfaces.

A hybrid schedule (2 days on-site) within 50 miles of a Jacobs office is expected, with collaboration across engineers and cross-functional teams.

Qualifications

• Associate's degree in Design Technology and 10 years of piping design experience in industrial settings.
• Proficient in CADWorx for 3D piping design and modeling.
• Strong ability to read P&IDs, vendor prints, and technical docs.
• Demonstrated ability to work independently with minimal supervision and communicate clearly.

Responsibilities

• Develop, model, and maintain complex 3D piping layouts using CADWorx, strictly adhering to project specifications, material requirements, and equipment interfaces.
• Read, interpret, and translate P&IDs, vendor drawings, and engineering documentation into precise design deliverables.
• Lead designated portions of project scope, offering technical input on system operability, model quality, and overall layout efficiency.
• Coordinate directly with engineers, cross-functional discipline teams, and workshare partners to resolve design conflicts and optimize space management.
• Support project planning by contributing technical insights to scope estimating, change-management discussions, and deliverable reviews.
• Conduct QA/QC model health reviews to maintain drawing accuracy, specification compliance, and overall deliverable consistency.
