Job summary

Arizona Department of Public Safety seeks Cadet State Trooper applicants to establish an eligibility list for current and future vacancies. Cadets undergo AZ P.O.S.T. Basic Training and other DPS training to learn general duties of police work, with reclassification to State Trooper upon successful completion.

Qualifications

• Must be a U.S. citizen and a high school graduate or GED.
• Must be at least 21 years of age at the completion of AZ P.O.S.T. BASIC TRAINING CURRICULUM.
• By the starting date, must be a resident of the state of Arizona and possess a valid Arizona driver license.
• Testing includes Written (Multiple Choice) Exam and Physical Fitness test.
• Must successfully complete the examination process.
• FLSA Status: Non-Exempt
