HDR is seeking a CADD Technician to join our Power Delivery team in Ann Arbor, Michigan. This role will focus on creating and modifying electric substation and transmission line drawings using CAD software.

Qualifications

• Basic understanding of engineering or architectural concepts.

HDR Michigan, Inc. is seeking a CADD Technician to join our Power Delivery team. Building on your established expertise in drafting and design, you will step into a role responsible for creating and/or modifying electric substation drawings, distribution drawings, and transmission line drawings.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform discipline specific drafting assignments requiring application of standardized drawing techniques, under the direct supervision of an Architect/Engineer, or other technical professional.
• Prepare drawings, layouts, sketches, maps and graphic representations of engineering designs using computer-aided design software.
• Perform other duties as needed.

Preferred Qualifications

• One year or more experience working for an A/E firm or Utility company performing tasks aligned with the responsibilities above.

Required Qualifications

• Associate or technical school degree, or combination of education and relevant experience.
• Knowledge of standard CAD Software (AutoCAD, MicroStation, etc).
• Familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite.
• Strong attention to detail and organization skills.
• Basic understanding of engineering or architectural concepts, workflows and deliverables.
