Job summary

Electrical Consultants, Inc. (ECI) seeks an entry-level drafter for our Tucson, AZ office. Under supervision, you will provide manual and CAD drafting support, developing skills to produce clear drawings of structures and facilities, including sections and details.

Responsibilities include interpreting engineering markups, modifying existing drawings, and collaborating with project teams. A degree or CAD certificate is required; travel and visa sponsorship are not anticipated.

Qualifications

• College degree in drafting/design or a two-year CAD certificate is required.
• Two years of on-the-job drafting/design experience is a plus.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills and teamwork ability.

Responsibilities

• Provide entry-level manual and computer-aided drafting support for projects.
• Prepare complete drawings of structures, layouts, facilities or general arrangements with sections and details.
• Interpret engineering markups or modify existing drawings to create new ones.

Electrical Consultants, Inc. (ECI), a leading power engineering consultant firm, is seeking a motivated individual to join our Tucson, AZ office as a drafter.

Under general supervision of a project manager or engineer, the successful candidate will provide entry-level manual and computer-aided drafting support for ECI projects with a goal to develop higher level of skills and abilities. Work includes preparing complete drawings of structures, layouts, facilities or general arrangements, including section and detail views, and profiles in a manner to provide clear and concise representation of facilities. Preparation basis is typically from engineering drawing markups or modification of previously prepared, similar drawings.

Minimum Requirements: College degree in an acceptable curriculum or two-year technical certificate in computer-aided drafting/design, or a minimum of two years concentrated on the job experience in computer-sided drafting/design field. Proven effective verbal and written communication skills; proven excellent level of interpersonal skills; ability to work individually and on a team. Must be detail oriented and possess a high level of organizational skills. Proven ability to work with confidential information. Proven ability to exercise independent judgment.Occasional travel/driving may be required. Successful applicant is subject to ECI's auto insurance carrier requirements.
