CPH, a Miami-based multi-disciplinary Engineering and Architectural design firm, is seeking a CAD Technician to support Water/Wastewater Utilities projects. The role involves detailed CAD drafting, design development, and construction document production for local and national clients.

Qualifications

• Proficiency in CAD software and drafting techniques.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in Water/Wastewater lines and treatment plant design.
• Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
• Ability to work independently and with a team.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Create detailed drawings based on specifications using CAD software.
• Coordinate design with project team including engineers, architects, and clients.
• Prepare layouts, diagrams, sketches, and drawings for various projects.
• Review and modify existing drawings per project manager directions.
• Ensure drawings comply with industry standards and client requirements.
• Maintain records of drawings and revisions.

CPH is looking for well-qualified professional in our Miami, Florida office for the following position:

CAD Technician - Water/Wastewater Utilities Design

CPH is seeking a full-time CAD Technician to work on local and national Utility projects. This person could participate in all facets of the design process, including preparation of presentations, conceptual design development and final construction document development.

Duties Include

• Create detailed drawings based on required specifications, requirements and plans using CAD software.
• Collaboration and coordination of design with project team including engineers, architects, designers, consultants, and clients.
• Prepare layouts, diagrams, sketches, and drawings for various projects.
• Review and modify existing drawings or models as requested by project managers.
• Interpretation of relevant codes and client requirements.
• Implementation & utilization of established CAD standards and templates.
• Assist in coordinating project documentation ensuring all technical requirements are met.
• Periodic travel to perform site investigations, measurements, and construction observation. Duty includes preparation of subsequent reports and exhibits.
• Ensure drawings comply with industry standards, regulations, and project specifications.
• Maintain records of drawings, revisions, and related project documents.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Proficiency in CAD software’s and drafting techniques.
• Minimum of 2 of experience in Water/Wastewater lines and Treatment Plant Design is required.
• Civil 3D experience required.
• Proficiency in MS Office, including Word, Excel and Outlook.
• Adaptable and receptive to instruction from others.
• Comfortable working independently as well as collaboratively with a team
• Excellent oral, written and organizational skills.
• Flexibility in work schedule to accommodate project deadlines.
• Detail oriented, quality conscious, reliable and self-motivated.
• Valid state-issued driver's license with a clean driving record.
