Job summary

Commercial Sewing in Torrington, CT is seeking a CAD Technician to create, update, and manage digital patterns and technical drawings using CAD software. You will collaborate with engineering, product development, and manufacturing teams to optimize fabric usage and ensure production-ready CAD files.

The role requires an Associate degree or technical certification and experience with CAD systems (AutoCAD, Gerber).

Qualifications

Associate degree, technical certification, or equivalent practical experience.
Experience with CAD software such as AutoCAD, Gerber, or similar systems.
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications.

Responsibilities

Create, update, and maintain digital patterns and technical drawings using CAD software.
Develop layouts to optimize fabric usage and minimize material waste.
Convert sketches, prototypes, and specifications into production-ready CAD files.
Collaborate with engineering, product development, and manufacturing teams.
Support pattern adjustments based on sampling, fit testing, and production feedback.
Maintain organized CAD libraries, pattern files, and technical documentation.
