Job summary

Malibu Boats, Inc. in Loudon, TN is seeking a CAD Technician to blend creative aesthetics with mechanical engineering, supporting New Product Engineering and Product Integration in CAD/CAM, drawings, CNC data across upholstery, seating, sheet metal, and marine interiors.

You will prepare 2D/3D models, assemblies, and manufacturing data, collaborate with multi-discipline teams, verify fits and manufacturability, and help with prototypes, tooling, and production launches.

Qualifications

• Post secondary drafting training or degree with 1–3 years of drawing experience.
• Experience with SOLIDWORKS and AutoCAD is required.
• Familiarity with Rhino, NX and CAM/Nesting software is preferred.
• Experience with upholstery patterns and marine interiors is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Prepare 2D and 3D CAD models, assemblies, and drawings for upholstery, seating, sheet metal, and other areas.
• Check own work for accuracy, standards, fits, and stack-ups.
• Collaborate with multi-discipline teams on new product development and integration.
• Support production with CAD models and CAM/CNC data for cutting and routing.
• Troubleshoot designs and contribute to tooling, fixtures, and manufacturing aids.
