Job summary

Allen & Company, a Florida-based technology-focused surveying, mapping, and geospatial services firm, is looking for a CAD technician to create drawings and plans for survey and construction on residential projects. You will enter specifications into CAD software, review field data, and produce final drawings using AutoCAD Civil 3D.

Strong attention to detail and the ability to work solo or as part of a team are essential, with daily tasks and time-tracking in Unanet. Monday–Friday schedule.

Qualifications

• High school education is required.
• Exposure to or entry-level proficiency in CAD, Cadastral, Platting, or related areas.
• Experience with AutoCAD 2007 or later.
• Computer skills in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook.
• Associate degree in Drafting & Design or related field.
• CST Certification is a plus.
• Minimum one year of Land survey experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Review, edit, and submit jobs daily.
• Download and process field data in AutoCAD Civil 3D.
• Create, edit, and finalize technical drawings using AutoCAD Civil 3D.
• Pay close attention to detail to modify drawings as needed.
• Interpret and plot records, deeds, and plats for property surveys.
• Accurate record-keeping and documentation of project requirements.
• Communicate with field crew to address issues.
• Enter time daily into Unanet.
• Work with Project Managers daily.
• Produce final print clouds/as-builts plans for design and as-built purposes.
