Job summary

MRCE in New York City is seeking CAD Technicians with strong drafting and design skills, proficient in AutoCAD, Revit, and MicroStation. The role supports geotechnical, structural, and instrumentation engineers in preparing detailed drawings for foundations, waterfront structures, and related projects.

You will collaborate with engineers and draftsmen to meet project requirements, generate site plans and boring/location drawings, and ensure timely delivery.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 year technical degree in Civil Engineering, Engineering Technology or Drafting & Design.
• Minimum of 3 years CAD/Design related experience in general.

Responsibilities

• Utilize CADD software to create detailed geotechnical and structural drawings for foundations, transportation, highways and bridges.
• Meet with design engineers and draftsmen to review drafting requirements and ensure timely delivery of drawings.
• Generate site plans, boring location plans, geologic sections, embankment profiles and instrumentation plans using AutoCAD, MicroStation, and Revit.
• Locate symbols on topographical surveys to denote geological and geophysical formations.
• Prepare maps, site plans, structural layouts and diagrams using cross-sections and surveys.
