Job summary

Civil & Environmental Consultants, Inc. (CEC) invites applications for an experienced CAD Technician to join our Toledo, Ohio team.

You will support both civil engineering and land surveying projects through drafting, design support, data processing, and coordination with project teams and field staff. You will work on a diverse mix of commercial, industrial, municipal, infrastructure, and land development projects, assisting with survey deliverables, site development plans, and construction

Qualifications

  • High school diploma required; Associate's or Bachelor's degree preferred in Survey Engineering, Geomatics, Engineering Technology, Civil Engineering, or related field.
  • 5+ years of AutoCAD, Civil 3D design software experience.
  • Ability to interpret survey data, engineering plans, and technical information.
  • Willingness to work independently in the field in varying weather conditions, with safety policies.
  • Valid Driver's License required.
  • Applicants must be legally authorized to work in the U.S. without sponsorship.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare and support survey drawings and plan production, including ALTA/NSPS Land Title Surveys, boundary surveys, and topographic surveys.
  • Assist with drafting and design support for civil engineering projects, including site development, grading, utility, and infrastructure plans.
  • Utilize AutoCAD Civil 3D, Trimble Business Center, or similar software to prepare project deliverables.
  • Work with survey and engineering data to develop accurate and complete plan sets.
  • Collaborate with survey field crews, engineers, and project teams to support project deliverables.
  • Assist with data processing, document preparation, plotting, and project documentation.
  • Participate in field activities as needed to gain hands-on experience and support survey operations.
  • Maintain organization and accuracy of project files, drawings, and technical data.

Job description

Civil & Environmental Consultants, Inc. (CEC) is seeking an experienced CAD Technician to join our growing team in Toledo, Ohio. This role offers the opportunity to support both Civil Engineering and Land Surveying projects through drafting, design support, data processing, and coordination with project teams and field staff.

You’ll work on a diverse mix of commercial, industrial, municipal, infrastructure, and land development projects, assisting with the preparation of survey deliverables, site development plans, utility layouts, grading plans, and construction documents. Working alongside engineers, surveyors, and technical professionals, you’ll play an important role in supporting projects from initial data collection through final plan production.
