Job summary

Civil & Environmental Consultants, Inc. (CEC) is seeking a Survey CAD Technician to support a Licensed Professional Land Surveyor or Survey Project Manager. You will ensure accuracy in topo maps, boundary surveys, and subdivision plans, and prepare exhibits and base drawings from survey data and construction plans.

The role emphasizes office work with occasional field tasks. Proficiency in Trimble Business Center and AutoCAD Civil 3D, plus experience in 3D site modeling and construction staking,

Qualifications

• Experience processing survey data and building 3D site models.

• Experience in construction staking and construction layout is a plus.
• Field surveys experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

Job description

As a Survey CAD Technician for Civil & Environmental Consultants, Inc. (CEC), you'll demonstrate excellent attention to detail throughout the survey process to assist a Licensed Professional Land Surveyor or Survey Project Manager to prepare topographic survey maps, boundary surveys, subdivision plans, and various exhibits and existing conditions base drawing. You will also use construction plans and CAD files to prepare the survey field crews to perform construction staking. You will also build, check and modify digital terrain models (3D site models) for construction stakeout and machine control guidance. The majority of your time will be spent in the office, but occasional field work may occur.

• Experience processing survey data and building 3D site models with Trimble Business Center
• AutoCAD Civil 3D experience
• Experience in construction staking and construction layout
• Experience conducting field surveys a plus
• Experience processing aerial photography and terrestrial or aerial LiDAR a plus
