Responsibilities

• Prepare piping and mechanical fabrication drawings, site and grading plans, and pipeline alignment drawings.
• Develop and modify drawings for gas distribution projects including gate stations and pipelines.
• Coordinate projects and provide reviews and status updates.
• Provide drawings, pipe information, and facility data to internal and external customers.
• Review facility drawings, alignment sheets, surveys, and as-built information.
• Work under supervision and use initiative to complete drafting assignments.

Job Summary (Responsibilities and Requirements)

• We are seeking a CADD Technician / Designer to support the design and drafting of gas distribution pipeline and related facility projects. The ideal candidate will have strong AutoCAD skills, with particular preference for experience in piping design and AutoCAD Plant 3D.
• This role will support the preparation and modification of construction drawings for gas distribution facilities, including gate stations, meter and regulator stations, pipelines, and related facility components. Candidates with surveying, mapping, facility data, or pipeline drafting experience are also encouraged to apply

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare simple to intermediate-level piping and mechanical fabrication drawings, civil site and grading plans, and pipeline alignment and profile drawings.
• Develop and modify drawings for gas distribution pipeline projects, including gate stations, meter and regulator stations, and related pipeline facilities.
• Coordinate assigned projects and prepare drawing reviews and project status updates.
• Provide drawings, pipe information, facility data, and other documentation to internal and external customers.
• Research existing facility information to support modifications to gas distribution facilities.
• Provide gas facility and mapping information to engineering, construction, and other company personnel.
• Provide facility and mapping information to external customers, including engineering firms, government agencies, and other stakeholders.
• Review facility drawings, alignment sheets, surveys, field notes, and as-built information.
• Work under the direction of supervisors and lead designers while using initiative and independent judgment to complete drafting assignments.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• Associate degree or certificate in Computer-Aided Design and Drafting, Design, or a related drafting/design program, or equivalent professional experience.
• 0–2+ years of professional drafting/design experience; recent graduates with relevant design education are encouraged to apply.
• Demonstrated proficiency with AutoCAD.

• Basic understanding of piping and mechanical drawings.
• Entry-level knowledge of Piping & Instrumentation Diagrams (P&IDs) and their use in construction drawing packages.
• Ability to interpret preliminary and post-construction as-built notes, survey field notes, and survey information.
