We are currently seeking a highly skilled and motivated Permanent CAD Technician to join our dynamic team. This role is perfect for a candidate who thrives in a fast-paced, challenging environment and has a passion for creating detailed, high-quality designs. The successful candidate will be a key player in our design team, working on a variety of projects across the HVAC, MEP, and Environmental Engineering sectors. This is an excellent opportunity to showcase your technical prowess and contribute to the success of our projects.

Responsibilities

As a Permanent CAD Technician, you will

• Utilize AutoCAD 3D to create detailed design layouts and drafts for HVAC, MEP, and Environmental Engineering projects.
• Collaborate with engineers and other professionals to ensure design accuracy and feasibility.
• Modify and revise designs to correct operating deficiencies or to reduce production problems.
• Prepare and produce detailed 2D and 3D models, drawings, and plans.
• Ensure all designs adhere to established specifications and standards.
• Assist in the preparation of project proposals, schedules, and budgets.
• Perform field surveys and measurements as required to collect data for design, verification, and as-built documentation.
• Keep up-to-date with the latest CAD software, technologies, and techniques to improve design efficiency.
• Participate in design reviews and provide input to improve the quality and efficiency of designs.
  
  

Qualifications

To be considered for the Permanent CAD Technician role, you must have

• A minimum of 5 years of experience in CAD drafting, specifically with AutoCAD 3D.
• Proven experience in HVAC, MEP, and Environmental Engineering design.
• A solid understanding of drafting techniques and familiarity with engineering terminology.
• Proficiency in using computer-aided design software, especially AutoCAD 3D.
• Strong attention to detail and the ability to produce accurate, high-quality work under tight deadlines.
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, and the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
• A degree in Engineering, Architecture, or a related field is preferred.
• The ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and adapt to changing priorities.
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to think critically and creatively.
