Job summary

Sage Integration Holdings LLC is seeking a CAD Technician to create, revise, and maintain electronic drawings for sophisticated security systems. You will translate field notes into CAD files and ensure designs meet project and regulatory standards.

Responsibilities include designing electrical infrastructure, validating drawings on-site, and collaborating with project teams to deliver accurate installations. Prior experience with CAD and security schematics is required.

Qualifications

• Associate degree in drafting, design, or related technology field.
• Minimum 2 years in a CAD-related position.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD and Visio.
• Knowledge of security system designs and electrical schematics.
• Strong drafting standards and conventions.

Job Summary:

The CAD Technician at SAGE Integration is responsible for using Computer-Aided Design (CAD) systems to create, revise, and maintain electronic technical drawings for complex integrated security systems. This position plays a vital role in ensuring accurate and efficient design solutions for building infrastructure, electrical layouts, and security technology systems.

Major Duties & Responsibilities:

• Prepare detailed CAD drawings of complex integrated security systems.
• Design and implement electrical infrastructure for security systems.
• Translate hand sketches and field notes into electronic CAD files.
• Redesign and revise existing drawings based on markups, field changes, and updated specifications.
• Review and interpret technical documentation, blueprints, and designs.
• Document and maintain records of all drawings and design changes.
• Ensure all drawings comply with internal quality and drafting standards.
• Work closely with project managers, engineers, and field staff to support accurate installations.
• Visit local job sites as needed for physical validation of design accuracy.
• Support compliance with engineering and drafting regulations and company procedures.
• Utilize AutoCAD and Visio to develop design layouts and schematics.

Qualifications:

• Education: Associate's degree in Drafting, Design, or related Technology field.
• Experience: Minimum of 2 years in a similar CAD-related position.
• Technical Skills:
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD and Visio
  • Familiarity with security system designs and electrical schematics
  • Strong understanding of drafting standards and conventions

Work Conditions:

• Environment: Primarily office-based with occasional visits to job sites.
• Travel: Local travel as needed for site validation and field measurements.
• Health/Safety: Must adhere to all company and site-specific safety protocols during on-site visits.
