We are currently seeking an experienced CAD Technician to support our Midwest Region located in Indianapolis, IN.

What You’ll Be Doing

1. Assist engineers using MicroStation to create bridge detail plans and perform minor design work on bridge projects.
2. Assist engineers using MicroStation/Autocad Civil 3D to create roadway plan sets and perform minor design work on roadway projects.
3. Contribute to project production sheets by adding dimensions and laying out plans, title, and detail sheets on production sets of plans.
4. Prepare minor mathematical and quantity calculations for roadway/bridge projects.
5. Develop 3D models with engineers using Open Road Designer and Open Bridge Designer.
6. Research applicable design codes and guidelines to ensure compliance.
7. Research design options and document findings.
8. Coordinate assignments with project team and supervisor.
9. Perform quality control reviews of design plans and calculations.
10. Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor.
11. Be a team player and assist other groups as needed.

What You Need To Have

1. Minimum of 2 years of experience with structural and/or roadway drafting.
2. Degree in Computer Aided Drafting or a similar field is preferred.
3. Proficient in MicroStation.
4. Familiar with DOT Bridge Detailing Manual and applicable bridge standards is preferred.
5. Experience with Open Road Designer is preferred.
6. Experience with Autodesk Civil 3D is a plus.
7. Excellent communication skills and ability to work within a team environment.
8. Ability to pass pre-employment drug screening.
9. Valid driver’s license and satisfactory motor vehicle report (MVR).
