Job summary

RDR Utility Services Group is seeking a detail-oriented AutoCAD Technician to join our fabrication shop. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring the quality and compliance of our welding operations by drawing ISO's from customer drawings and by managing MTRs and related documents.

The role requires proficiency in AutoCAD for oil and gas projects, strong organizational skills, and effective communication with inspection staff.

Qualifications

• Must be proficient in AutoCAD in oil and gas setting.
• Knowledge of MTR's, pipe grades and sizes.
• Excellent computer skills with programs such as MS Office, Blue-Beam and other construction related software.
• Must have good communication skills and be able to work closely with company provided inspection.
• Must have a good positive attitude and show up for work every day and on time.

Responsibilities

• Create and draw ISO's from customers drawing package and also hand drawn iso's in AutoCAD.
• Assist with checking in materials as they arrive.
• Check heat numbers match MTR.
• Check grade to match what was ordered.
• Check size and wall thickness to what was ordered.
• Verify heat numbers for any discrepancies from the iso's to MTR.
• Record x-ray numbers.
• Scan and file MTR's, JSA's, X-ray reports, Torque reports and field iso's.
• Create Hydro-test packages.
