Job summary

Standex International is seeking a CAD Technician to create and review 2D mechanical drawings, tooling layouts, and schematics for production and documentation. This role collaborates with engineering and the CM Manager to resolve design conflicts, update prints, and manage documentation within ERP.

Qualified candidates will have a degree or equivalent experience, strong AutoCAD skills, and the ability to interpret engineering prints and IEC documentation.

Qualifications

• Degree or equivalent experience.
• Extensive knowledge of AutoCAD and other design tools.
• Ability to interpret engineering prints to determine accuracy and possible changes.
• Ability to communicate effectively with Management and colleagues.
• Ability to prepare drawings and lists for engineering.
• Ability to apply common sense to daily tasks and instructions.

Responsibilities

• Create 2D mechanical and tooling drawings for sample docs, production prints, and related paperwork.
• Review and release prints and documentation for accuracy.
• Process ECNs/ECOs to ensure documentation is released and accurate.
• Update prints as change notifications are processed.
• Enter information from job packs into document control software and ERP.
• Track engineering parts through ERP and coordinate with sales for part data.
• Collaborate with engineering to release new parts and ensure proper documentation.
