Job summary

ALKAR-RAPIDPAK, INC. is seeking a CAD administrator with strong engineering IT enablement to manage CAD/PDM systems, develop utilities, and integrate ERP data flows. You will support engineers, maintain templates and release workflows, and drive automation to reduce manual work.

Requirements include 3+ years in CAD admin, proficiency in C#/.NET or VB.NET, SQL skills, and experience with SOLIDWORKS and AutoCAD Electrical. Some API integration and IT coordination are expected.

Qualifications

• Three+ years CAD administration or engineering applications support.
• Experience developing utilities using C#/.NET or VB.NET.
• Working knowledge of SQL, data relationships, and validation.
• Experience integrating applications via APIs or connectors.
• CAD proficiency; understanding drawings, BOMs, and release processes.
• Experience with SOLIDWORKS, PDM, AutoCAD Electrical preferred.

Responsibilities

• Administer CAD/PDM apps: settings, access, licensing, upgrades, troubleshooting.
• Maintain templates, title blocks, numbering, libraries, release workflows.
• Develop utilities and integrations using C#/.NET or VB.NET.
• Automate BOM validation, metadata checks, release packages, and reporting.
• Use SQL to retrieve and validate engineering/manufacturing data; API data exchange.
• Coordinate software installation/licensing with IT and Controls.
• Train engineers on standards and provide user guides; support transfers.
• Test changes before deployment and maintain source control and docs.
