Job summary

A technical resources provider is seeking a skilled CAD Designer to work remotely on industrial automation projects. This contract role requires expertise in electrical and control system design, particularly with AutoCAD Electrical software. The ideal candidate will have strong communication skills and the ability to gather design information independently. In this position, you will create a variety of technical drawings, including system architecture and wiring diagrams. This role has an initial duration of 6 months with a possibility for extension.

Qualifications

• Proven ability to work independently and proactively in gathering design information.
• Proficiency with Project Manager functionality for control panel design packages.

Responsibilities

• Generate customer shop drawings, including I/O Tables and system architecture diagrams.
• Create detailed wiring diagrams and control panel layout diagrams.
• Develop floor plans for equipment layouts and device connection diagrams.

Overview

A contract opportunity is available for a CAD Designer with expertise working with DCS/PLC Systems and AutoCAD Electrical Software. This is a remote opportunity.

Duration is 6 months, possibly longer. Start is ASAP.

Qualifications

This role will focus on the design, coordination and documentation of hardware systems for industrial automation projects. The ideal candidate will possess strong technical expertise in electrical and control system design, AutoCAD Electrical proficiency and the ability to communicate with partners and other team members.

AutoCAD Electrical skill set should include proficiency with the Project Manager functionality for the generation of control panel design packages.

Responsibilities

Candidate must have proven ability to work independently and proactively in gathering design information. They will generate customer shop drawings, including:

• System architecture diagrams
• Floor plans for equipment layouts
• Control panel layout diagrams
• Detailed wiring diagrams
• Device connection diagrams
