Job summary

RL Talent Partners is seeking a CAD Systems Administrator in Southampton, PA, to own CAD, PDM, and engineering data systems. You will manage Autodesk Inventor, Vault, CAD standards, and data governance while modernizing legacy data and supporting ERP integration.

You will collaborate with engineering to improve workflows, build automation with Python/SQL, and assist with 2D/3D modeling and documentation, including content libraries and part databases.

Qualifications

• Hands-on experience with Autodesk Inventor or similar 3D mechanical CAD.
• Experience with Autodesk Vault, AutoCAD or data management is a plus.
• Programming or automation abilities using Python, VBA, SQL or PowerShell.
• Understanding of mechanical parts, assemblies and drawings.
• Experience with engineering databases, data cleanup or similar data work.
• Knowledge of ERP systems and how components are designed, manufactured and sourced.

Responsibilities

• Support modernization and migration of legacy CAD, PDM and ERP data.
• Review part databases to identify duplicates, outdated records and metadata issues.
• Maintain Inventor and AutoCAD part databases and ensure proper structure.
• Develop Autodesk Content Center and standard component libraries.
• Act as resource for Inventor, Vault and CAD data management, supporting users.
• Identify inefficient workflows and develop automation using Python, VBA, SQL, PowerShell.
• Define standards, naming conventions and metadata for CAD data.
• Support ERP transition and integration with engineering data.
• Collaborate with teams to improve workflows and implement solutions.
• Assist with 2D/3D CAD modeling and documentation as needed.
