Qualifications

• Experience running fiber lasers in fabrication or job shop.
• Familiarity with nesting software.
• Ability to read prints and DXF files.
• Basic understanding of sheet metal (steel, stainless, aluminum).
• Comfort switching between programming and hands-on machine work.

Responsibilities

• Set up and run a CNC laser (primarily Trumpf equipment).
• Program nests and optimize material usage using nesting software.
• Review part files and layouts before cutting to catch issues.
• Verify the first pieces and monitor quality during jobs.
• Sort and stage parts for the next fabrication step.
• Support forming operations when needed (press brake exposure is a plus).
