Job summary

Roush is seeking a CAD Pattern Technician in Livonia, MI to create patterns from 2D/3D CAD models and optimize for automated cutting, ensuring material utilization and adherence to build schedules.

You will maintain documentation, inspect equipment, and collaborate with shop teams. The role is full-time on the day shift in Livonia, MI, with experience in Rhinoceros 3D and SolidWorks preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Minimum 1 year of CAD software experience.
• Basic coding understanding of automated cutting software (e.g., anEastman textile cutting machine).
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints/technical drawings.
• Experience with pattern creation and material utilization optimization.

Responsibilities

• Support shop operations and collaborate with department members.
• Create patterns using CAD software and verify fit before production.
• Communicate material usage and program requirements to team.
• Optimize material usage through efficient cut files.
• Maintain accurate documentation and align paperwork with build schedules.
• Inspect equipment and maintain a safe work area.
