Qualifications

• Associates degree or 2+ years CAD experience.
• Proficient with AutoCAD and MS Word/Excel.
• Strong mathematical skills.
• Able to read civil and structural construction plans.
• Experience with precast concrete structures, state DOT projects, or water/wastewater projects is a plus.
• Able to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment with deadlines.
• Ability to independently gather information, authorizations and materials.
• Attention to detail and problem-solving mindset.

Responsibilities

• Develop detailed drawings, plans, and specifications for concrete pipe products using CAD software.
• Assist in design and development of new concrete pipe products with engineering and production teams.
• Generate technical drawings including dimensions, materials, and specs for manufacturing.
• Collaborate with engineers, architects and stakeholders to incorporate feedback.
• Ensure drawings comply with industry standards, regulations and company guidelines.
• Maintain and update drawing files, revisions and version control.
• Create and maintain documentation related to design changes and project details.
• Coordinate with production and procurement to allocate materials per design specs.
• Identify and address design issues, proposing efficiency improvements.
• Communicate effectively with cross-functional teams on design requirements and timelines.
• Ensure designs adhere to codes and safety regulations and stay updated on CAD advances.
