Job summary

Allfast Fastening Systems LLC in City of Industry, CA, is seeking a CAD Operator to prepare clear and accurate working plans and drawings from rough sketches. You will use CAD software to create designs and ensure accuracy of dimensions and materials.

Ideal candidates have a mechanical/drafting associate degree and several years of drafting experience. This on-site role offers hourly pay and full-time hours with benefits.

Qualifications

• Mechanical/Drafting associate degree required; or equivalent.
• One year college or technical school and three years drafting experience.
• Experience with detailed assembly and diagram drawings preferred.

Responsibilities

• Prepare clear, complete working plans and detail drawings from rough or detailed sketches.
• Make final sketches, check dimensions and materials, and ensure proper relation of parts.
• Use CAD equipment and software to produce drawings and diagrams.
• Read and interpret blueprints and schematics; adjust designs as needed.
• Ensure accuracy and completeness of drawings and documentation.

Main Duties & Responsibilities

• JOB SUMMARY:
• Preparesclear, complete and accurate working plans and detail drawings from rough ordetailed sketches.
• Essential Duties, Responsibilities andCompetencies:
• Makes final sketch of proposed drawing, checkingdimension or parts, materials to be used, relation of one part to another, andrelation of various parts to the whole structure or project.
• Utilizes knowledge of various machines, engineeringpractices, mathematics, building materials, and other physical sciences tocomplete drawings.
• Makes any adjustments or changes as necessary.
• Inks in lines and letters on pencil drawings asrequired.
• Draws charts for representation of statistical data.
• Draws finished designs from sketches.
• Uses computer assisted drafting (CAD) equipment andsoftware.

Qualifications

• OTHER COMPETENCIES:
• Language Skills:
• Ability to read and interpretdocuments such as blueprints, drawings, safety rules, operating and maintenanceinstructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
• Mathematical Skills:
• Ability to work with mathematicalconcepts such as fundamentals of plane and solid geometry andtrigonometry. Ability to apply conceptssuch as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations.
• Reasoning Abilities:
• Ability to apply common sense understanding to carryout instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involvingseveral concrete variables in standardized situations.
• Blueprint Reading:
• Ability to read and understandblueprints.
• Computer Skills:
• To perform this job successfully, an individualshould have knowledge of Design software and Word Processing software.
• Education and/or Experience:
• A Mechanical/Drafting Associate TechnicalDegree. One year college or technicalschool and three (3) years experience/and or training in detailed assembly anddiagram drawings; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Physical Demands:
• While performing the duties of this job, the employeeis regularly required to sit; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; and talk orhear. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision,color vision and depth perception.

Compensation

In compliance with all states and cities requiring transparency of pay, the expected pay range for this position is $24.00-$35.00.

Compensation can vary depending on several factors, including a candidate's qualifications, skills, experience, competencies, and geographic location. Some roles may qualify for extra incentives like equity, commissions, or other variable performance-related bonuses.
