Burns & McDonnell is seeking a Drafting Intern to revise drawings and prepare components from verbal or written instructions. You will learn and apply drafting standards while supporting multiple market segments and locations.
The role emphasizes CAD software use, strong communication, and a proactive learner attitude; pursuing a CAD/Engineering Technology degree is preferred, with a minimum 3.0 GPA and prior internship experience beneficial.
Our Drafting Interns are responsible for revising existing drawings and preparingdrawings of basic components from explicit verbal or written instructions or detailed sketches. This position successfully plots drawings; learns and follows company and client drafting standards and procedures; learns the practices of a selected discipline. Other duties as assigned.

The Transmission & Distribution group is responsible for the planning and design of electrical transmission projects in power delivery, including overhead transmission, underground transmission, distribution systems, substation design, telecommunication & network engineering, pipelines, renewable power integration, security, grid modernization and more.
