CyberCoders is seeking an Engineering Technician in Dyersville, IA to support product development, production, and technical documentation. The role focuses on preparing and modifying drawings, assisting engineers with design tasks, and delivering accurate CAD models.

The ideal candidate has hands-on technician experience and strong CAD skills, including 3D CAD and 2D drafting, with familiarity in AutoCAD or Solid Edge.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as an Engineering Technician or Technician with strong CAD skills (3D CAD and 2D drafting).
• Proficiency in AutoCAD and/or Solid Edge; experience with other 3D CAD tools is a plus.
• Experience with CNC programming or working knowledge of CNC operations and machining processes is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Create and update CAD models and 2D/3D drawings to support engineering and production requirements.
• Translate engineering concepts and sketches into detailed CAD drawings using AutoCAD, Solid Edge, or equivalent 3D CAD tools.
• Assist engineers in product design, prototyping, and testing by preparing documentation, BOMs, and assembly drawings.
• Prepare and maintain accurate technical documentation, revisions, and tooling instructions to ensure manufacturability and compliance.
• Support CNC programming and provide clear machining drawings or files to the manufacturing floor when required.
• Perform drafting tasks, including dimensioning, tolerancing, and ensuring drawings meet company and industry standards.
• Work with maintenance and production teams to troubleshoot build issues and suggest design or process improvements.
