Mindrift is seeking a skilled mechanical/aerospace CAD engineer to train and evaluate AI agents operating inside a real CAD environment on long engineering tasks, designing part geometry and building reference solutions alongside CFD engineers.
The role is fully remote with flexible hours and requires an active CAD license, 5+ years of CAD modelling across CATIA/SolidWorks/Siemens NX/Creo, plus Python and GitHub.
Help train and evaluate AI agents that work inside a real CAD environment on long engineering tasks, work that would take an expert 10–15 hours. You'll design part geometry, build reference solutions, and judge the agent's attempts. You'll work alongside CFD engineers who simulate the geometry you build.
For this project, tasks are estimated to require around 10–20 hours per week during active phases, based on project requirements. This is an estimate, not a guaranteed workload, and applies only while the project is active.
On this project, contributors can earn up to $69 per hour equivalent, depending on their level and pace of contribution.
Compensation varies across projects depending on scope, complexity, and required expertise. Please note that other projects on the platform may offer different earning levels based on their requirements.
