Job summary

Emseal, A Sika Company, is a manufacturer of premium sealants and expansion joint systems for the commercial construction industry and many specialty market applications.

This position focuses on interpreting project details from design documents and producing 2D/3D drawings using AutoCAD and Inventor for manufacturing and field communication. The role includes converting 3D drawings to REVIT-ready BIM documents and assisting in design and field tasks as needed.

Qualifications

• Ability to interpret project details from design documents, photos or descriptions.
• Experience producing isometric, 2D, and 3D drawings for manufacturing and site communication.
• Strong collaboration with contractors, architects and engineers.

Responsibilities

• Interpret blueprints, details, sketches to produce models and drawings using AutoCAD and Inventor.
• Create project-specific product layouts and details for customer and shop review.
• Prepare drawings ranging from shop submittals to manufacturing drawings used in production.
• Review and enter engineered product orders into ERP system.
• Review teammates' drawings and orders for quality before submittal.
• Make corrections from customer mark-ups and convert 3D drawings to REVIT (BIM) ready documents.
• Assist with design process aspects and participate in field work or site visits.
• Collaborate with other departments to accomplish tasks.

Emseal, A Sika Company, is a manufacturer of premium sealants and expansion joint systems for the commercial construction industry and many specialty market applications.

This position is responsible for interpreting project details explained, sketched or inferred from design documents, photographs or other sources.

This role will use AutoCAD and/or Inventor to produce isometric, 2-D, and 3-D drawings utilized in manufacturing as well as for the purpose of communicating joint layouts to contractors, architects and engineers.

Drawings will be used to develop bills of materials and item parts for entry of orders into ERP system.

Responsibilities

• Interpret blueprints, details, hand sketches and/or descriptions of project parameters in order to produce project specific models and drawings using AutoCAD and Inventor.
• Create project-specific product layouts and/or details for customer and/or shop review.
• Packages range from shop drawing submittals to manufacturing drawings utilized in our production process.
• Review and entry of engineered product orders into ERP system.
• Review team member'scompleted drawings and orders for quality control prior to submittal to customers and manufacturing team members.
• Make corrections as required, from customer provided mark-ups.
• Convert 3D drawings to REVIT (BIM) ready documents.
• Be able to assist with some aspects of design process.
• Assist in field work and/or site visits as needed.
• Collaborate with other departments as needed to accomplish various tasks.
