Job summary

ISEC, Inc. is seeking a Design Drafter to create and maintain 2D (AutoCAD) and 3D (Revit) drawings for planned projects and fast-turn requests.

You will support Engineering across multiple branches and collaborate with Operations, Project Managers, and external partners to ensure timely delivery. Ideal candidates have up to 4 years of drafting experience, strong plan interpretation, and proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, and Bluebeam Studio.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a related field preferred.
• 0–4 years of related design drafting experience.
• Ability to interpret plans, specifications, and construction documents.

Responsibilities

• Create and revise submittal, fabrication, and installation drawings.
• Develop project details in line with project scope and customer needs.
• Produce drawings using AutoCAD and Revit with accuracy.
• Handle fast-turnaround drawing requests and revisions.
• Assist with layouts and floor plan reviews.
• Create Revit models supporting project and sales efforts.

Job description

Position Summary

The Design Drafter is responsible for creating and maintaining 2D (AutoCAD) and 3D (Revit) drawings in accordance with ISEC standards for both planned projects and fast-turn requests. The position supports the Construction and Science & Technology branches of Engineering through the development of submittal drawings, installation drawings, presentation models, schedules, takeoffs, and project documentation. This role works closely with Operations, Project Managers, Engineering leadership, and outsourced engineering resources to ensure accurate and timely project execution.

Duties And Responsibilities

• Create and revise submittal, fabrication, and installation drawings, including plans, elevations, sections, and construction details.
• Develop project details in accordance with project scope and customer requirements.
• Produce drawings and revisions utilizing AutoCAD and Revit.
• Execute fast-turnaround drawing requests and project revisions.
• Assist Operations with Design Assist layouts and floor plan reviews.
• Create Revit-based models supporting project and sales initiatives.
• Participate in project kick-off meetings and coordination activities.
• Verify accuracy of schedules, takeoffs, and project documentation.
• Coordinate deliverables with internal teams and outsourced engineering partners.
• Review engineering instructions, project documents, and design requirements for completeness and compliance.
• Assist with workload coordination, scheduling, and drafting resource planning.
Support development and maintenance of drafting templates, standards, and processes.
• Collaborate with Construction and Science & Technology teams to ensure successful project delivery.
