Engineering Position Print Detailer (Plastics Extrusion Blow Mold Tooling)

Position Title: CAD Engineer – Print Detailing

Position Summary:

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented CAD Engineer to join our engineering team. The successful candidate will be responsible for creating accurate manufacturing drawings, print packages, and detailed engineering documentation using SolidWorks. This role requires a strong understanding of mechanical design, drafting standards, and manufacturing processes.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Create and maintain detailed 2D manufacturing drawings and 3D models using SolidWorks.
• Produce accurate print detailing, including dimensions, tolerances, BOMs (Bills of Materials), and assembly drawings.
• Review engineering designs and ensure drawings comply with company and industry standards.
• Work closely with engineers, production teams, and project managers to support manufacturing requirements.
• Revise and update drawings based on design changes and customer feedback.
• Manage drawing revisions and maintain document control procedures.
• Support prototype development and production activities as required.
• Diploma, Associate Degree, or Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Design Engineering, or a related field.
• Proven experience in SolidWorks CAD modeling and print detailing.
• Strong knowledge of engineering drawings, and manufacturing processes.
• Ability to interpret technical specifications and engineering requirements.
• Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Strong communication and teamwork abilities.

Required Education and Experience:

• Two-year Accredited College or University in Mechanical, Electrical, Plastic or Manufacturing is preferred.
• Machine shop experience preferred.
• Plastics Tooling experience preferred
• Experience in sheet metal, machining, fabrication, or product design.
• Knowledge of ISO/ASME drawing standards.

Office / Warehouse environment. Employee may be occasionally exposed to moving equipment, mechanical parts in motion, hazards associated with a manufacturing environment such as overhead cranes, welding, machining, painting etc.
