Job summary

SR Precision Holdings LLC in Lee's Summit, MO is seeking a skilled CNC Machinist to operate and program Fanuc-controlled mills and lathes, producing precision parts to exact tolerances. The role requires strong blueprint reading and GD&T knowledge, with experience using calipers, micrometers, and CMMs for inspection.

The position offers day shift hours (with overtime potential), pay ranging from $26.00 to $32.00 per hour plus a $2.25 shift differential on 2nd shift, and an expected base annual

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Preferably 5+ years of CNC machining experience.
• Mastercam experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Set up, operate, and troubleshoot CNC milling machines and CNC lathes, primarily using Fanuc controls, to produce complex parts according to technical specifications.
• Read and interpret blueprints, GD&T, and technical drawings to verify dimensions and tolerances.
• Use precision measuring instruments such as calipers, micrometers, bore gauges, and coordinate measuring machines to inspect parts during and after machining.
• Maintain proper tooling, tool changes, and machine calibration to uphold high standards of accuracy.
• Perform routine maintenance on CNC equipment and assist with setup adjustments as needed.
• Support lean manufacturing initiatives by identifying opportunities for process improvements and waste reduction.

Job Overview

Shift

1st shift: Monday–Friday, 6:30 AM – 3:00 PM

2nd shift: Monday-Friday 3:00 PM-11:30 AM

Pay Range: $26.00 – $32.00+/hour (based on experience)

Differential: $2.25/h for 2nd shift

Expected Base Annual Salary: $54,080 – $66,560+ per year, plus differential and overtime

Skills

• Strong understanding of blueprint reading, GD&T principles, and mechanical drawings.
• Ability to operate precision measuring instruments like calipers, micrometers, bore gauges, and coordinate measuring machines accurately.
• Familiarity with tooling setup, hand tools, power tools, welding techniques, and assembly processes.
• Basic math skills for measurements, calculations, and quality control procedures.
• Experience working with plastics injection molding or manufacturing environments is preferred.
• Ability to operate forklifts safely when required for material handling.
• Understanding of lean manufacturing principles to promote efficiency and continuous improvement in machining processes.
• Ability to lift and move up to 50 lbs.

Education and Experience

• High School Diploma or equivalent required
• Preferably 5+ years of CNC machining experience
• Mastercam experience is a plus
