Job summary

Texas Institute for Electronics on the Pickle Research Campus at UT Austin seeks CAD/EDA engineers at I/II/Senior levels to advance 3DHI packaging and automated IC design flows. You will develop scripts, maintain ADK/PDK interoperability, and collaborate with EDA vendors and internal teams to shape design methodologies.

Strong UNIX/Linux scripting, Cadence/Synopsys experience, and ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment are required; relocation support may be available.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in EE, CS or related field.
• For II: 3+ years industry experience.
• For Senior: 10+ years industry experience.
• Experience with high-performance IC design, layout, and validation flows.
• Excellent UNIX and scripting skills (Perl, Python, TCL).
• Experience with build automation and version control.
• Proficiency in Linux and Windows environments.
• CAD support experience in semiconductor IC design and tapeouts.
• Strong teamwork and communication abilities.
• Ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Create and maintain scripts to integrate EDA tools for simulation, verification, and 3DHI modeling.
• Develop, deploy, and maintain ADK (Assembly Design Kits).
• Maintain interoperability with PDKs, ADKs, and vendor tools.
• Develop design flow methodologies and automation solutions.
• Support 3D heterogeneous micro-system modeling teams.
• Automate test structure layout for next-gen processing capabilities.
• Support standard cell offerings and validation capabilities.
• Facilitate and oversee tapeouts and project leadership.
