NEXCOM is seeking a CAD Draftsperson in Chicago, IL to create and revise drawings for Air/Ground communications facilities. You will produce precise engineering drawings using CAD tools and manual drafting while ensuring FAA orders and standards are met.

You will translate field notes and design specifications into accurate documentation, maintain drawing libraries, and collaborate with engineers and project teams to implement updates and maintain configuration control.

Formación

• 5 years with BS/BA; 3 years with MS/MA; 0 years with PhD; 7 years with AS; 9 years in lieu of degree.
• US Citizenship and ability to obtain/maintain a public trust clearance.
• Experience developing technical drawings using CAD tools in engineering, architecture, telecom, or infrastructure.
• Strong CAD proficiency (AutoCAD preferred).
• Experience with 3D modeling and BIM tools.
• Ability to produce precise technical drawings and identify discrepancies.

Responsabilidades

• Provide drafting and design support for facility as-built drawings.
• Create, modify, and maintain technical drawings using CAD tools and manual methods.
• Ensure drawings comply with FAA standards (FAA 6000.55, FAA-STD-002).
• Translate field data and design specs into accurate drawings and docs.
• Maintain drawing libraries and version control of documents.
• Collaborate with engineers, PMs, and field personnel to apply revisions.
• Review and verify drawings for accuracy and completeness.
• Identify discrepancies and recommend corrections.
• Support engineering teams during project design and documentation updates.
