Job summary

Metromont Corporation is seeking a Drafting Coordinator to design and prepare complete working plans and detailed drawings for complex projects using CAD tools. This role requires accuracy, coordination with project teams, and adherence to safety standards.

You will coordinate designs, track jobs, liaise with customers and internal teams, and ensure timely revisions and approvals. Associates degree in Design/Architecture with CAD coursework and at least two years of drafting experience are

Qualifications

• Associates degree in Design, Architecture, or related field with CAD coursework is required.
• Minimum 2 years of drafting experience.
• Experience coordinating design and drafting activities for projects.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate all design and drafting functions for assigned projects.
• Track assigned jobs and coordinate schedules with Drafting Manager, Plant Scheduler, and Project Manager.
• Serve as liaison between customer and internal Metromont departments to resolve drawing-related issues.
• Assist in identifying problem areas and proposing solutions.
• Act as prime checker to ensure accuracy of erection drawings and shop tickets.
• Notify management of job/drawing scope changes.
• Monitor drawing approvals and keep managers informed of status.
• Attend customer meetings when necessary.
• Adhere to Metromont and OSHA safety rules and regulations.
