Job summary

Metromont Corporation is seeking a Project Drafter to design and prepare CAD working plans for complex projects, integrating architectural/engineering drafting methods with CAD software. You will coordinate with engineers and architects to ensure drawings align with specifications and customer layouts.

Ideal candidates have at least two years drafting experience, can read blueprints, and are proficient in CAD tools such as AutoCAD and Revit.

Qualifications

Two years drafting experience.
Ability to read blueprints and drawings.
Experience creating CAD plans from data.
Familiar with AutoCAD, Revit, BeamWiz, TeeWiz preferred.

Responsibilities

Design and prepare CAD working plans for complex projects.
Prepare layouts, charts, and material/equipment requirements from drawings and specifications.
Review and manipulate CAD files from consultants.
Coordinate drafting work with engineers and architects.
Revise CAD designs to meet changing specifications during construction.
Provide guidance to drafting staff on specifications and CAD usage.
Identify problems in plans and data.
Consult with engineers to resolve questions.
Procure CAD and/or Revit files.
Adhere to Metromont and OSHA safety rules and regulations.
