Job summary

EMI Industries, an LSI company, is seeking a Drafter in Boonton, NJ to convert designs into technical drawings using CAD software. You will liaise with design engineers and other departments to ensure accurate, shop-ready drawings and proper BOM structures.

The role requires experience with SolidWorks/Solid Edge/AutoCAD, ERP-based BOMs, and MS Office, with strong attention to detail and a self-starting attitude.

Qualifications

• Must read, interpret, and use standards and customer documentation.
• Ability to work with minimal supervision and self-check for accuracy.
• Experience transmitting drawings electronically and translating into CAD software.
• Proficiency in SolidWorks/Solid Edge/AutoCAD.
• Familiar with BOM and ERP-based routing.

Responsibilities

• Produce fabrication and part drawings from sketches using CAD tools.
• Coordinate with design engineers to ensure drawings are error-free.
• Set up BOM and machine routings using labor standards.
• Translate material lists into BOM structures in ERP.
• Design from customer or company drawings; coordinate with estimator/sales.
• Support other departments and perform tasks as directed.
