Job summary

General Dynamics Information Technology seeks a Drafter/CAD Operator II to provide on-site drafting support at Fort Rucker, AL. You will create, update, and maintain CAD drawings for engineering applications, collaborating with engineers to ensure accuracy and adherence to standards.

The ideal candidate has an Associate degree (AA/AS) with 1+ years CAD experience, proficiency in AutoCAD, and the ability to manage multiple projects while maintaining attention to detail.

Qualifications

• Associates of Arts/Associates of Science; 2 years experience may be substituted.
• Active Secret clearance eligibility required.
• 1+ years related CAD drafting experience.
• Proven CAD operator experience with AutoCAD or similar software.
• Attention to detail to ensure designs are accurate and complete.
• Strong drafting techniques knowledge and engineering terminology.

Responsibilities

• Create, update, and maintain CAD drawings for engineering support.
• Review drawings to ensure adherence to specifications and standards.
• Collaborate with originators to resolve discrepancies between drawings and CAD outputs.
• Maintain a web-based information database of maps, diagrams, drawings and data; update OSP/ISP/remote facilities in CAD.
• Utilize GPS software, plotters and scanners to document geospatial data in CAD drawings.
