Job summary

RTX in Jacksonville, FL is seeking an experienced CAD Designer to generate engineering drawings for detailed parts and assemblies using SolidWorks and AutoCAD, ensuring dimensional tolerancing and drawing standards.

Qualifications

• Typically requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) and minimum 2 years of prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field.
• CAD experience.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued security clearance after day 1.

Responsibilities

• Generate engineering drawings for detailed parts, assemblies, and installations using SolidWorks, AutoCAD in compliance with standards.
• Determine scaling, reference datums, center and dimension lines, hidden line interpolations, and sectioning.
• Convert initial designs and redlines into precise 2D schematics and 3D models.
• Process drawings through configuration, classification, and approvals; collaborate with engineers for vendor quotes and approvals.
